Hi. If you had a vote for your favorite sport woulnd't you
pick basketball? I know you would.. well we will tell you alittle bit about it.
Theres a ball, theres a hoop you shoot the basketball into the hoop. Thats the simple way of putting it.
Well. you wouldnt believe it, but theres soo much more to it. I'm on a basketball team with 8 othere people.
Its so easy once you know how to play. First you have to learn how to shoot, then you have to learn how to dribble.
And more. If you play basketball you wouldnt know that its a dangerous sport even though its not made like that.
People scratch you, hit you, make you fall. But in my opinion I think its still the best sport ever. On a team theres 4 positions. A foward, thats underneath the goal.
Then theres the high, that the middle. Theres 2 wings on the floor and they are further from the basket.
Then theres thr point gaurd, most important. They dribble the ball over the floor.
If you're not on a team.. YOU BETTER SIGN UP FOR A TEAM!!!
Football
Football is a very risky sport. People can get hurt. I know most girls don't play it, so theres really no point of talking about it,
but some girls might so here it is for those who do! Theres tackle football which professionals play. The other type is which young guys play, thats two hand touch football.
Okay..a football is a very hard kind of ball to throw. Most people, besides guys don't really know how to.
Baseball
Baseball is a very hard sport to learn. When we play baseball in school we use a T. Thats what you put the baseball on and then hit it.
Most people at our ages suggest that you use a softball because people can get hurt. Like I was in camp once and we were having a tournamnet for baseball
and one of the girls on the team got hit in her nose and she broke it. We weren't using a softball we were using a real one.
Thats why you have to be very careful.Baseball is also very slow game. The pitchers take their time in pitching, and the batters also take their time. If you
ever go to a baseball game always keep your heads up because when they hit a foul ball it could go into the fans! Just some advice for you!
Soccer
Soccer is a fun. It doesnt take much skill except you need to know how to dribble with your feet and get around people thats about it.
The goalie has an important job, making sure the ball doesnt get into the goal. DUH! When I broke my arm at school I was on a soccer team
and I couldnt play anymore, but when I did it was so much fun! When it rains you get poured on during the game unless the game is called off!
Soccer also has positions just like basketball.
